COUSE-SHARP HISTORIC SITE

Hello Friends,

La luz de Taos refers to the exquisite light here in northern New Mexico that has delighted and inspired generations of visual artists. La Luz de Taos 2026 is our largest ever exhibition of contemporary art, and this year’s biennial gala celebrates the silver anniversary of The Couse Foundation, which owns and manages Couse-Sharp Historic Site.

The exhibition is on view in the 1915 J. H. Sharp Studio and in The Lunder Research Center, our 5,000-square-foot museum facility dedicated to the Taos Society of Artists (TSA) and their influential legacy. The research center archives, collections, library, and exhibitions activate our belief in the transformative power of art and education to inspire, enrich lives, and connect people.

I am sincerely grateful to the 70 participating artists for their overwhelming generosity and committed support. In many ways, the legacy of the TSA rests in their capable hands.

We hope you’ll help propel our mission and vision into the future by participating in this exciting art sale and contributing to our programs.
