Ryan Suazo is a member of the Taos Pueblo tribe and lifelong resident of its community. Suazo has participated in numerous museum exhibitions and shows, proudly representing the architecture and imagery of his tribe’s ancestral village. He writes, “In our community, being an artist imparts no elevated stature. We are, however, in a privileged position, in a time of rapid, permanent change, to preserve visual aspects of life at Taos Pueblo as we’ve known it since our earliest childhoods.”
